Sankar Enterprises recently engaged Greenbrier Communications to provide secure network connectivity between its three (3) hotels located in Covington, VA. According to Dr. Krishna Sankar, owner, the objective was to improve communications, efficiency of operations and security of data transmission between the separate locations and their main office. When the first phase of the project is completed, each of the hotels will be networked via secure VPN with Sonicwall Firewalls and will enable management to monitor daily registrations and sales data from a centralized location at the main office. The resulting network will also enable future integration of surveillance cameras, a centralized VoIP phone system and links between the hotels’ local registration system and website and those of the Best Western, America’s Best Value and Compare Inn national chains.
