As businesses continue to work towards improving productivity, efficiency and margins, managers need to become familiar with the term “Unified Communications” in order to insure that their communications technology decisions position them best for the future.
To help several of our current and potential customers understand how Voice Over IP Telephony can deliver Unified Communications to today’s businesses, we joined resources with our vendor-partner ShoreTel to offer free “Lunch and Learn” seminars, that were held in Princeton on July 8th and Lewisburg on July 9th.
Those who attended the seminar learned about past, present and future trends in IP telephone technology, including the increasing market share held by “pure-IP” solutions, such as that offered by ShoreTel and Greenbrier Communications. Attendees were provided an overview of what should be considered when deciding on the best VoIP telephone system for their business, including whether the system is “purpose built”, record of quality, reliability and customer satisfaction, ease of installation and use, and performance. Additionally, everyone was given the chance to actually use the technology in a variety of real-life situations, which enabled them to experience just how simple these systems are for the end-user.
